Turkish court sentences ex-HDP leader Demirtaş to 42 years in prison for his role in 2014 unrest
On Thursday, a Turkish court sentenced a former leader of the opposition HDP to 42 years in prison for his involvement in deadly protests in 2014. These protests were triggered by the Daesh (ISIS) terror group's siege of the Syrian town of Kobane.
