British Lord Neville-Jones: Turkey has the right to defend itself

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed a group of members of the British House of Lords in Turkey's capital Ankara.

During the meeting, Turkish and British high level officials discussed the bilateral relations between Turkey and the United Kingdom, as well as the regional and global geopolitical challenges.

British Lord Pauline Neville-Jones stated that Turkey has the right to defend itself.

The lords underlined the importance of cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

Jones added that the relationship between Ankara and London has the potential for strategic partnership.
