Digital skills increasingly on demand
The more hi-tech the globe becomes, the more complicated skills are required for employees. In the past "type writer literacy" was considered as an outstanding criterion for job candidates. However, nowadays the ability to execute Microsoft office programmes is considered as a basic requirement while there are still a large number of people without access to computers. In the face of such challanges, Google's Ceo Sundar Pichai heralded a new project aiming to train 10 million Africans in online skills over the next five years.
