Global military spending on the rise

According to the research, countries around the world are spending more money than ever on weapons.
The United States remained the world's highest military spender with a 1.7 percent rise, equivalent to a total amount of 611 billion dollars; China followed with 5.4 percent, reaching 215 billion dollars. Russia, meanwhile, is the world's third leading military spender and marked a 5.99 percent rise, reaching a total of 69.2 billion dollars.
