A video shared by the family of jailed Palestinian teen Ahed al-Tamimi shows that Tamimi was verbally harassed while being interrogated by Israeli authorities.
The footage has uncovered that an Israeli intelligence officer telling the 16-year-old al-Tamimi: "You are a beautiful girl. Your hair is blonde, Your face is pink -- You should be at the sea, not in detention."
At a press conference held in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Monday, al-Tamimi's father, Bassem, said the remarks were tantamount to "verbal harassment".
On Mar. 21, an Israeli military court sentenced Ahed al-Tamimi to eight months in jail for "attacking" Israeli troops after a video went viral online showing her slapping an Israeli soldier who had trespassed on her family's backyard.
Al-Tamimi's mother has also been slapped with eight months behind bars -- and a $1,700 fine -- for "incitement" and "assault".
