Turkish President Erdoğan to attend G20 summit in Germany

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is scheduled to attend the G20 summit that will take place later this week in Hamburg, Germany, according to a press release from the Presidency on Wednesday.

The twelfth meeting will be held in Hamburg on July 7 and 8.

The statement noted that the upcoming summit offered a significant opportunity to review efforts undertaken so far towards achieving a strong, sustainable, balanced and inclusive growth which is one of the main topics on the global agenda.

The summit will also allow Erdoğan to share Turkey's views on the global agenda and the role of the G20 with other leaders.

Erdoğan is also expected to have bilateral meetings with some of the leaders, as well as representatives of international organizations on the sidelines of the summit, which will focus on topics such as global trade, development, employment, health, digitization, climate change, the fight against terrorism, and the refugee crisis.
