Rohingya group congratulates Erdoğan for election win

The European Rohingya Council (ERC) on Monday congratulated President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for winning the election.
"On behalf of The European Rohingya Council and our Rohingya Muslims of Arakan, I would like to send a heartfelt and sincere felicitation to you for your victory in the historic 2018 presidential and parliamentary elections of Turkey," council head Hla Kyaw told Anadolu Agency.
"We would also like to congratulate the [Justice and Development] AK party and the people of Turkey for the winning in the election....Rohingya Muslims of Arakan have been praying for this successful victory," Kyaw said.
In addition, Kyaw stated that the Turkish government and people have been playing a leading role in resolving the Rohingya refugee crisis.
Kyaw added that with Erdogan's victory, they look forward to strengthening their relationship and cooperation to end Rohingya Muslims' suffering.
With almost all the votes counted, according to official results, Erdogan won an absolute majority in the presidential election with 52.5 percent of the vote. In the parliamentary polls, the People's Alliance of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) won 53.6 percent of the votes.
