Turkey's leading defense company Aselsan topped the list of 100 global aerospace and defense industry companies in terms of revenue growth, according to a financial advisory firm.
Aselsan with 42.3 percent revenue growth in 2017 -- indicated in Turkish liras -- ranked first in "2018 Global aerospace and defense industry financial performance study," released by Deloitte.
The Turkish defense giant was also the top performer with 42.3 percent revenue per employee growth among the top 100 global companies in the industry, the report read.
Meanwhile, top 100 aerospace and defense companies' average revenue per employee growth was 2.4 percent.
As a sole Turkish company included to the list of global aerospace and defense companies, Aselsan ranked 63rd with its industry-related revenues in 2017. The average revenue growth of listed companies was 2.7 percent.
The company also grabbed the 4th position with 12.7 percent among top 10 aerospace and defense companies by 2017 return on assets, the report revealed.
Aselsan with its 22.2 percent of core operating margin was 5th within 10 biggest aerospace and defense companies listed in the report.
With some $65,145 core operating earnings per employee -- overall employee productivity -- Aselsan stood at 8th position in the list.
The study was based on 19 key financial performance metrics for 100 global aerospace and defense companies or related segments of industrial conglomerates with global revenues over $500 million in 2017.
Deloitte, staffed with around 286,000 professionals at member firms delivers services in audit and assurance, tax, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory and related services in more than 150 countries, according to its website.
