The YPG/PKK terror group on Monday attacked Turkish forces deployed in Afrin, northwestern Syria, officials said.
The Turkish army said no loss of life was reported.
A large number of terrorists were killed in a security operation launched by the Turkish army, said local sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to fear of reprisal.
Terrorist positions were struck down in Tal Rifat, northern Syria.
The YPG/PKK continues to target Afrin from Tal Rifat, which has been occupied for more than three years.
