Turkey's Erdoğan shares a message to mark Mother's Day
"Mothers are symbol of compassion, mercy and self-sacrifice. Our mothers, who teach us love, respect, solidarity, sharing and tolerance, are our greatest strength in establishing happiness and peace in our country," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said in a message shared to mark Mother's Day.

Mothers are symbol of compassion, mercy and self-sacrifice, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said in a message marking Mother's Day.
In the message, Erdoğan hailed mothers' role in establishing peace in the society.
"Our mothers, who teach us love, respect, solidarity, sharing and tolerance, are our greatest strength in establishing happiness and peace in our country," he added.
Citing the proverb, "Paradise lies at the feet of the mothers," Erdoğan said mothers are their children's strength, first teacher and safe haven.
Turkey celebrates Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May.
