Turkey, Sudan agree to boost bilateral trade

Turkish and Sudanese cooperation committees have discussed bilateral relations for the first time since the ousting of former President Omar al-Bashir on April 11.
In a press release by the Foreign Ministry, the two sides discussed cooperation in bilateral trade and the sectors of banking, agriculture, health, aviation, education in addition to the sectors of art and culture.
"Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry, Omer Dahab, has discussed the bilateral relations with Turkish Ambassador to Khartoum Irfan Neziroğlu in bilateral trade, banking sector, agriculture, education, aviation, culture and arts," the press release said.
The Turkish-Sudanese ties have been boosted in different sectors, and the authorities of the two sides vowed to boost the trade balance to at least $10 billion.
