As part of Turkey's anti-terror operation in northern Syria, a Turkish drone squarely hit and presumably destroyed a terrorist truck with an anti-aircraft gun mounted on top, said Turkey's National Defense Ministry on Friday.
On Twitter, the ministry shared a video showing the moment of impact on the truck belonging to the terrorist PKK/PYD/YPG, followed by a large cloud of smoke.
The gun was a DShK Russian-style gun, known as a Docka in Turkish.
"During Operation Peace Spring, a vehicle carrying a Docka anti-aircraft gun belonging to the PKK/PYD/YPG was squarely hit by our Air Force," it said.
Turkey on Wednesday launched Operation Peace Spring east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria to secure its borders by eliminating terrorists there and to ensure the safe return of Syrian refugees and Syria's territorial integrity.
Ankara wants to eliminate from the region terrorist elements of the PKK and its Syrian offshoot, the PYD/YPG.
