Turkey on Friday condemned a deadly bomb attack on a mosque in the eastern Afghan city of Nangarhar that killed at least 63 people.
"We are deeply saddened to receive the news that a terror attack, which was carried out against a mosque in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, resulted in the loss of lives of many innocent civilians and left many others wounded," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"We strongly condemn this terrorist attack. We wish Allah's mercy upon who lost their lives, speedy recovery to the wounded, and convey our condolences to the friendly Government and the brotherly people of Afghanistan," the statement added.
At least 63 people were killed and 36 others injured in the deadly mosque attack in the eastern Afghan city of Nangarhar during Friday prayer.
