Two Turkish high school students are taking home top honors in an international math contest.
Alper Atlı and Rüzgar Öztürk from TED College in Edirne, northwestern Turkey won first prize in their respective levels in the online Caribou Mathematics Competition, the school announced.
They competed in the online competition in English and French, according to a statement by TED College.
Caribou Mathematics Competition is a worldwide online contest held six times during the school year, at six different levels, with participants from around 300 schools in 30 countries, according to contest organizers.
Öztürk was in the top 2% of world rankings, while Atlı was in the top 6%, the school added.
