Police clearing trucker-led protests in Ottawa said they made 47 arrests Saturday in a final push to dislodge hundreds of protesters who have blocked the center of the Canadian capital for weeks.
In a tweet announcing the apprehensions, police said that the main street outside parliament had been cleared of protesters, and that 38 vehicles had been towed "since yesterday."
