A large explosion was heard in Kyiv on Wednesday evening, shortly after warning sirens rang out in Ukraine's capital.
Preliminary reports indicate Kyiv's central railway station was targeted.
No information on damage or casualties is available yet, the explosion may have cut off central heating supply to parts of the Ukrainian capital amid freezing winter temperatures, said interior ministry adviser Anton Herashchenko in an online post.
