Scores injured in chemical plant explosion in Iran

At least 112 people were injured in an explosion at a sodium carbonate factory in southwestern Iran, according to local media on Monday.
The explosion was caused by a leak in one of the tanks at the factory in Firouzabad city in Fars province, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
Fars State Medical Emergency Service said in a written statement that 112 people were injured in a fire caused by the explosion.
