Magnitude 6.0 earthquake strikes southern Iran - EMSC

An magnitude-6.1 earthquake struck the southern city of Hormozgan in Iran early Saturday, according to media reports. Media outlet Jamarannews said the tremor was recorded at 2.02 a.m. local time at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles).

An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 struck southern Iran on Saturday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.

The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), EMSC said.
