The west will continue to support Ukraine for as long as necessary, but it would not be "clever" for Ukraine to use weapons it received to mount attacks on Russian territory, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said.
Interviewed by ZDF public television, Scholz said sending Ukraine warplanes to fight the war "currently makes no sense".
