Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that the intensity of the fighting around the eastern city of Bakhmut continues to increase.

Zelensky was speaking in a video address.

"The most difficult, as before, is Bakhmut ... Russia does not count people at all, sending them to constantly assault our positions. The intensity of the fighting is only increasing," Zelensky said in his evening address to the nation.
