A pro-Western reformist bloc comprising We Continue the Change (PP) and Democratic Bulgaria (DB) won most votes in Bulgaria's parliamentary election on Sunday with around 25.3% of the vote, according to a GALLUP exit poll.
A centrе-right bloc led by the GERB party of former prime minister Boyko Borissov came in second place with around 24.7% in the snap election, the country's fifth in two years.
However, the reformist bloc is expected to struggle to find coalition partners, especially given their deep antipathy to Borissov, whom they accuse of having allowed graft to fester during his decade-long rule that ended in April 2021.
