Swedish minister says 'all commitments' fulfilled to join NATO

On Thursday, the Swedish foreign minister emphasized that Stockholm has fulfilled "all the commitments" required to join NATO, and he called upon Turkey and Hungary to support Sweden's accession to the alliance.

Sweden's foreign minister said Thursday Stockholm had fulfilled "all the commitments" to join NATO and urged Türkiye and Hungary to allow his country into the alliance.

"This was never a sprint, it's a marathon, and we now see the end of it," Tobias Billstrom said at a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Oslo.
