The Evangelical priest community known as the "Hagee Pastors" in the USA recently organized a charity night for Israel with the participation of numerous US politicians.
The event, which took place on October 22 in a Texas church, was attended by former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton, House of Representatives Member Tom Emmer, and Israel's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Gilad Erdan.
During the event, John Hagee, the Founder of Hagee Pastors, expressed strong support for Israel and advocated for a one-state solution.
Hagee pointed a finger at the significance of Israel in the Middle East and its special place in the Bible. He also added that the Jewish people are "chosen" and linked the blessings of the USA with its support for Israel.
Former Secretary of State Pompeo called attention to the importance of opposing antisemitism and standing with Jewish friends, asserting that they are not alone.
At the event, $2.9 million in donations were collected for Israel and Jewish associations.
