In a recent social media post, NATO showcased Türkiye's dedicated mine clearance efforts in the Black Sea, aimed at addressing the perilous situation posed by drifting mines following Russia's attack on Ukraine.
Türkiye, Bulgaria and Romania have been conducting various activities to address the danger posed by drifting mines in the Black Sea.
NATO captured those efforts on Türkiye's mine-clearing vessel, the TCG Akcay, and shared a video prepared by former British Royal Marine Commando Ben Cooke.
The video illustrates how the Turkish vessel is working to clear mines, covering the entire process, from detecting at sea to disposal, and includes footage of Turkish naval commandos conducting dives as part of mine disposal exercises.
NATO's video was published on its X and YouTube accounts.
