In a statement from the U.S. European Command located in the central German city of Stuttgart, it was reported that a U.S. military aircraft engaged in training activities in the Eastern Mediterranean crashed on Friday evening.
The statement noted that information about military personnel affected by the accident would not be provided out of respect for their families. It was mentioned that the incident is under investigation but does not appear to be the result of a hostile action.
Following the start of intense Israeli attacks on Gaza, the U.S. military had deployed significant reinforcements to the Mediterranean, including two aircraft carriers, and initiated exercises in the region while establishing an air bridge to supply ammunition to Israel.
