Turkish FM Fidan warns American support to Israeli massacres in Gaza could lead to a global crisis
Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan said: "Islamic nations are currently utilizing all available diplomatic and humanitarian measures to address the Gaza issue." Speaking to Al Jazeera, the top diplomat also warned: "If American support for Israel persists amidst ongoing killings and bombings in blockaded Gaza Strip, it could lead to a global crisis."
In an exclusive conversation with Hatice Benganna of Al Jazeera, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan delved into the current state of affairs in Gaza and detailed Ankara's efforts to intervene and prevent further bloodshed.
Fidan emphasized the use of all available diplomatic measures by Islamic nations. He also condemned the West, particularly the USA, for their deceitful and inhumane actions towards the Israeli massacres in the Gaza Strip.
The US Secretary of State shared that he had a candid conversation with Blinken, requesting a complete ceasefire. Fidan expressed his response to Blinken, citing concerns over double standards. "It's important to react when both Palestinians and Israelis are killed. Double standards reveal the failure of the world system," Fidan said.
He added that if American support for Israel persists amidst ongoing killings and bombings, it could lead to a global crisis.
Mentioning the importance of providing aid to Gaza, Fidan also stated: "Egypt is doing its utmost to facilitate this. However, there are certain sensitivities and matters that must be coordinated with Israel in order to successfully deliver aid."
