Piers Morgan, a staunch Israel supporter, caused a stir on social media when he faced criticism during a televised appearance. In response to his declaration of Israel's innocence and labelling of Hamas as genocidal, British journalist Owen Jones invoked the words of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. Piers Morgan, an avid supporter of Israel, sparked a global reaction when he faced backlash for his comments.
British Journalist Owen Jones responded to Morgan's statement that portrayed Israel as innocent and Hamas as genocidal with the words of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The prime minister likened Palestinians to "Amalek" and openly called for massacre and genocide among his soldiers.
This particular program, which has been viewed over a million times on YouTube alone, gained widespread attention on social media platforms.
"Allow me to quote the words of Israeli officials. Benjamin Netanyahu made a reference to the Amalek from the Torah. When the Amalekites attacked the Israelites, 'God said, destroy everything, kill everyone, women, men, children, and every living thing.' If a Muslim leader quoted a similar passage from the Quran, you wouldn't say such things. The difference between Hamas and Israel is that Hamas lacks the capacity to wipe Israel off the map, while Israel is capable of erasing Gaza from the map," Owen Jones stressed in his comments.
