As part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Bureau, suspects Nikola Radonjic and Osama Foad Hijazi were arrested on allegations of engaging in espionage activities on behalf of Israeli intelligence by contacting Palestinian software developer Omar A. under the pretext of doing business.
The investigation revealed that Raed Gazzal was working for a company affiliated with the Israeli Intelligence Service. Additionally, it was determined that Palestinian software developer Omar A. had received a job offer from Gazzal.
Suspect Nikola Radonjic, identified as working for Israeli intelligence, was found to have contacted Omar A. and presented a job offer. It was further revealed that Radonjic, upon coming to Istanbul, transferred money to the Palestinian developer's account as a trial for the project he had prepared.
The Israeli Intelligence Service's practice of establishing contact with individuals using such methods and gathering information through a company in this case became apparent.
As part of the investigation, it was established that Radonjic had connections with the Israeli Intelligence Service, leading to his arrest on October 7 at Istanbul Airport on charges of "military and political espionage." Similarly, Osama Foad Hijazi was also arrested for engaging in espionage activities in Türkiye on behalf of Israeli intelligence.
