Potential Jewish settlement threat in Northern Cyprus: is a new Israel emerging on the island?
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) is witnessing an increase in Jewish settlement, raising concerns of a potential new Israel emerging on the island. Over the past five years, foreign, especially Jewish, interest in KKTC's construction sector has surged. Claims suggest tens of thousands of Jews from various nations, including Iran, the UK, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and Israel, are making Zionist investments, raising questions about the establishment of a new Israel. Security sources note the presence of 2,000 Israeli companies in KKTC, with ongoing investigations revealing concerns about land acquisitions and construction developments.

Over the past five years, there has been a rapid increase in foreign interest, particularly from Jews, in the construction sector in KKTC. Observers have revealed that Jews from various nations have been migrating to KKTC, strengthening their presence across different fields.
Amid the Israeli aggression on Gaza, allegations of Jews purchasing strategic locations, large-scale land, and massive buildings in northern KKTC have resurfaced.
ZIONIST EXPANSION IN THE NORTH CYPRUS
Further claims suggest that tens of thousands of Jews, primarily Iranians but also from the UK, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and Israel, have made Zionist investments in KKTC.
With a population of 380,000, observers emphasize that 35,000 are Jews, stating that "tens of thousands of acres of land in northern Cyprus are being purchased by intermediaries associated with Israel. Israel seems to be gradually taking control of KKTC, applying a Palestinian model." These allegations have sparked concerns about the establishment of a new Israel on the island.
INVESTIGATING THE CLAIMS
In response to these allegations, SABAH conducted on-site investigations in the northern regions of KKTC where Jewish settlements are reportedly increasing.
SABAH News Coordinator Abdurrahman Şimşek visited areas densely populated by Jews and conducted examinations. Complaints about foreign-owned lands and the intermediaries involved in land sales are reportedly widespread.
ONGOING RESEARCH
SABAH's research in KKTC continues, revealing the increasing settlement of Jews from various countries and the reality of land acquisitions and massive construction developments. Ultra-rich Jewish businessmen, including those with dual Turkish and Israeli citizenship, are reportedly taking advantage of legal loopholes. The behind-the-scenes interest of Jews in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is becoming more apparent each day.
