US secretary of defense to undergo non-surgical procedure
U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin "will undergo a scheduled, elective, and minimally invasive follow-up non-surgical procedure related to his previously reported bladder issue at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center later this evening," Spokesman Pat Ryder said in a statement.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will undergo a non-surgical procedure on Friday related to his previously reported prostate cancer, the Pentagon said.
Austin will be temporarily unable to perform his functions during the minimally invasive procedure and Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks will assume his duties, the Pentagon said in a statement.
