Taiwan's government on Sunday said it deeply regretted the "provocative and irrational" remarks by China's defence minister at the Shangri-La Dialogue conference in Singapore.
China has repeatedly threatened Taiwan with force at international events, Taiwan's China-policy making Mainland Affairs Council said in a statement.
