Flights were cancelled at the Kazan airport in Russia's Tatarstan Republic early on Wednesday for safety reasons, Russia's state news agencies reported, citing the country's aviation watchdog Rosaviatsia.
"To ensure safety of civil aircraft ... the airport temporarily does not receive or send flights from 7 a.m. Moscow time (0400 GMT)," Russia's TASS agency cited Rosaviatsia as saying.
