US, Japan, S. Korea express 'grave concern' over N. Korea troops in Russia: White House

U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan met his South Korean and Japanese counterparts on Friday, and the trio expressed "grave concern" over North Korean troop deployments in Russia and their potential use against Ukraine, the White House said.

The national security advisors of the United States, South Korea and Japan expressed "grave concern" Friday over the deployment of North Korean forces to Russia, the White House said.

The officials, who met in Washington, "expressed grave concern over troop deployments by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to Russia, potentially for use on the battlefield against Ukraine," National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told journalists, using North Korea's official name.
