US President Joe Biden will attend the inauguration of Donald Trump in January, the White House said, despite the fact that the Republican skipped the Democrat's own swearing-in four years ago.
"The president promised that he would attend the inauguration of whoever won the election. He and the first lady are going to honor that promise and attend the inauguration," Biden's Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates told reporters.
