Five Arab nations, along with Iran, Türkiye, and Russia, called for a political solution to end military operations and protect civilians in Syria on Saturday.

Five Arab countries and Iran, Türkiye and Russia said on Saturday a political solution was needed to stop military operations and protect civilians in Syria.

In a joint statement released by the countries' foreign ministers after they met in Doha, they said the crisis in Syria posed a threat to regional and international security.
