Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that his country's standing in the war with Russia, grinding through its fifth year, had been at its "most stable" point over recent months.

"Over the past 10 months we are in the most stable shape. But we still understand that it is very hard for the guys, and it's impossible to relax," he told journalists, including from AFP, in a recorded voice message while en route to a meeting of EU leaders in Cyprus.
