French President Emmanuel Macron did ⁠not ⁠hear the explosions that occurred in ⁠the Syrian capital on Tuesday morning, his office said.

Macron was on ⁠his way ⁠to meet with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa. The French president ⁠is the first main EU leader to visit the country ⁠since ‌the ‌fall of ⁠President ‌Bashar al-Assad.
