Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and French President Emmanuel Macron met Tuesday on the margins of the 81st UN General Assembly session to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and regional issues, the Syrian presidency said.
The meeting also addressed international developments, as well as issues of mutual interest.
World leaders have gathered in New York for the UN General Assembly high-level week, which began Tuesday.
