The US Senate on Thursday rejected a war powers resolution seeking to remove US Armed Forces from hostilities with Iran.
H.Con.Res. 89 failed to pass after the upper chamber voted 49 in favor and 50 against the measure.
Republican Sens. Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Rand Paul and Thom Tillis voted in favor of the resolution.
Democratic Sen. John Fetterman voted against the measure.
Sen. Angela Alsobrooks was the only senator recorded as not voting.
