Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım on Friday said the PKK terrorist organization would be eliminated soon.
Speaking at an opening ceremony of a mosque in southeastern Şırnak province, Yıldırım said:
"PKK terror will not harm this nation anymore, it will be eliminated soon.
"You can be sure of that, as long as we keep our province, our country, our children, our future together. I hope we will have better days to come.''
The premier also spoke about the investments in Şırnak.
"The [ruling Justice and Development] AK Party government invested 10 billion Turkish liras [$2.7 billion] in Şırnak in 15 years.
''We are constructing a new road between Cizre and Şırnak that will open next year. This road will tie Şırnak to Siirt even Van,'' he added.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the EU and U.S..
