Erdoğan holds phone calls with Abbas and Herzog to discuss Israel-Palestine conflict

In a statement issued by the Directorate of Communications, it was confirmed that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held discussions with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog, and Lebanese Prime Minister Necip Mikati regarding the recent developments in Israel and Palestine and the escalating tension in the region.
During his meeting with President Abbas, Erdoğan reiterated Türkiye's commitment to doing everything possible to bring an end to the conflicts in the region and restore calm as quickly as possible.
Erdoğan emphasized the importance of acting sensibly and avoiding any actions that could harm the people of Gaza collectively, as such actions would only exacerbate suffering and violence in the region.
In his conversation with Israeli President Herzog, Erdoğan discussed the latest developments related to the events in Israel and Palestine. He underscored the need for common-sense approaches and the urgency of establishing tranquillity in the region for the well-being of all.
Furthermore, during his telephone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Mikati, President Erdoğan addressed the escalating conflicts in the region within the context of the Israeli-Palestinian tension.
The Turkish leader also underlined that Türkiye is determined to make efforts to bring an end to conflicts in the region and work to achieve lasting peace.
