Situations that make it permissible not to fast during Ramadan

Fasting is an act of worship that every Muslim is personally responsible for fulfilling. However, in certain situations, it is permissible not to fast, meaning it is left to the individual. So, in which situations is fasting not observed?

However, due to certain special circumstances where fasting is impossible, excessively difficult, hard, or harmful, one may be exempt from fasting and not observe this rule. The special circumstances that make it permissible not to fast are as follows:
