Birdwatcher explores remote Icelandic Island to study endangered seabirds

Emin Yoğurtcuoğlu, a dedicated birdwatcher known for tracking endangered bird species globally, embarked on a research expedition to Iceland. For about a month, he observed and documented seabirds like puffins and fork-tailed storm petrels on Ellidaey Island, hailed as the world's most isolated house.

These birds are significant to him because, similar to albatrosses, they spend most of their lives at sea and only come to land for a short period to breed, mainly during the time when the sun doesn't set in the Northern Hemisphere.
