According to reports from the Polish media, A red panda named Ponzu, seemingly disinterested in its partner, managed to escape from the zoo in the northern Polish port city of Gdansk, seeking solitude.

It was observed that Ponzu, who was sharing the same cage with the female red panda Maja, climbed a tree and hid, leading to concerns from the zookeeper.

The zookeeper speculated that Ponzu may have become bored with its partner Maja and desired solitude. However, due to the height at which Ponzu had climbed, the zookeeper and staff were unable to reach him to help him down.

As a result, the fire brigade was called to intervene and assist in lowering Ponzu from the tree.

This is not the first time Ponzu has escaped from the cage shared with Maja. The most recent escape prior to this incident occurred in February.
