What is the method for preparing the milk-based Turkish dessert, Güllaç?

Güllaç, a popular sweet associated with Ramadan, carries the name "güllü aş" due to its use of rosewater. It is traditionally made with starch wafers, which can be difficult to produce at home but can be easily found in Turkish food stores and online.

Spread the sliced almonds over the Güllaç. Finish off with the remaining five sheets and pour more milk over them. Some unabsorbed milk is acceptable.
