Ancient Zerzevan Castle to become a UNESCO World Heritage site

The 3000-year-old Zerzevan Castle in Diyarbakır, Türkiye, which was used as a military settlement in the Roman Empire, is expected to be added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The ongoing excavation began in 2014 and is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Governorship of Diyarbakır, and Dicle University.
