Located at the foothills of Mount Katran, approximately 30 km away from the city center of Antalya, the cave was discovered in 1946, and since then, archaeological studies have been conducted.
Based on research, it has been determined that the cave was used as a habitation site approximately 500,000 years ago.
In subsequent excavations, artifacts from later periods have also been obtained, including the discovery of bones of animals such as elephants and hippos.
The cave, which hosts numerous visitors each year, creates a feeling of wandering in another world with its corridors, hollows, passages, and especially the various-sized holes, colors, patterns, and shapes formed on its walls.
