In the southeastern Anatolia region of Türkiye, close to the Syrian border, an ancient tattoo tradition called 'deq' has been practiced for centuries. Women in this region have decorated their faces, hands, and feet with these unique tattoos to enhance their beauty. Although the 'deq' tradition is fading, it remains a symbol of beauty. Today, 'deq' tattoos are predominantly found among women over the age of 50.
