About 60 kilometers away from the district center, Gölobası Plateau, hosts the Aygır Lake at an altitude of 2,709 meters, the Camlı Lake at an altitude of 2,754 meters in the same plateau, and the Sağrak Lake at an altitude of 2,633 meters in the Avşar Plateau, located within the boundaries of Kızıltaş village. These lakes offer visitors a breathtaking experience with colorful flowers surrounding them and mesmerizing snow views. For about 5 years, Giresun Nature Sports Club (GİDOSK) has been organizing hiking trips at specific times for nature enthusiasts who wish to witness the beauties of the region, also known as 'Karagöller' by the locals. In the recent years, the addition of canoeing to the event has increased the interest of nature enthusiasts in the glacial lakes. Starting from the summer season, canoeing activities take place on Camlı Göl, where nature lovers get to experience a unique adventure of paddling in the glacial lake. Nature enthusiasts who trek around the glacial lake and hike to the summit point enjoy the breathtaking scenery to the fullest. GİDOSK President Ahmet Kılıç stated that after organizing canoeing activities with athletes, they had received demands from nature enthusiasts for similar experiences as well. Kılıç expressed that during the canoeing and hiking activities, participants' energy would be high, and they would be pleased to guide people towards nature and outdoor sports. Kılıç, stating that Camlı Göl was suitable for canoeing, said, 'The lake is quite large, and we organize canoeing activities at high altitudes. We are currently at the end of July, and there is still snow around the lake. This creates a unique excitement for the participants and makes it much more intriguing.' Visitors recommend their experiences to everyone. Mustafa Aydın, who participated in the event, said that kayaking would always be enjoyable, but kayaking in glacier lakes was even more delightful. Aydın, who mentioned that he had also visited the region last week, stated, 'The entire area around the lake was covered in snow, although most of it had melted, it was still enjoyable. We recommend it to everyone.' Ibrahim Aslan, who's from Yozgat, expressed that he had been visiting Giresun at certain times for about 3 years, stating, 'This year was a different experience for me. This place has a truly beautiful landscape. The canoe activity was also fantastic, it was really nice to paddle along with such a scenery.' Aslan also emphasized that despite the hot weather in the city center, they were wearing jackets while exploring the area with the glacier lake, and he invited everyone to see the captivating view of it. The hotel manager, Orhan Kılınç, from the Koçkayası Nature Park in Dereli, also mentioned that they had contributed to the canoeing activities. Kılınç stated that the hotel's customers had requested the canoeing activity, they had came with a group of 15 people this week and they were planning to return with a group of 16 people next week. He also mentioned that they were intending to continue the activity with increasing numbers in the following periods. They are planning to organize the canoeing events every weekend during July and June, which also serves as a great promotion for Giresun.
