Show of 'unity and solidarity' in ‘sky homeland’ by Turkish Aerospace Industries

Following the treacherous terrorist attack on TAI's Kahramankazan facility, the Turkish defense industry demonstrated a strong image of 'unity and solidarity.' TAI personnel resumed work this morning without interruption. The institution also reinforced this stance by publishing a message on its website. The message emphasized: 'We will overcome this attack with unity and solidarity and continue to work tirelessly for the future of our country.' TAI, which has made a name for itself in Türkiye's defense and aerospace industry, has not wavered in its planning regarding the design, production, and modernization of the air vehicles needed by the country, as well as in its export activities. Starting in the morning, locally produced systems by Turkish engineers took to the skies one after another. Türkiye's first general-purpose helicopter, the T625 GÖKBEY, along with the basic training aircraft HÜRKUŞ and the training and light attack aircraft HÜRJET, conducted flights at the facility. This was followed by flights of the T129 ATAK Attack and Tactical Reconnaissance Helicopter and the T70 General Purpose Helicopter. Thus, messages against yesterday's attack were conveyed from the 'sky homeland.' The message of unity and solidarity from the Turkish defense industry went beyond statements; it was also reinforced by visuals from the SAHA EXPO Defense, Aerospace, and Space Industry Fair, organized under the auspices of the Presidency by SAHA İstanbul, the largest industrial cluster in Türkiye and Europe. All participating firms at the fair took their place in the memorial ceremony. The event saw attendance from numerous notable figures, including Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, BAYKAR Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar, and BAYKAR General Manager Haluk Bayraktar. During the ceremony, photos of the martyrs were projected on screens, and Turkish flags prominently featured on the LED displays throughout the fair area. The ceremony emphasized that the treacherous terrorist attack would not hinder Türkiye's march toward full independence, reaffirming a stronger and more determined commitment to the goal of a fully independent defense industry.
